I have been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over two decades, choosing a moving meditation over stillness because I thought I couldn’t possibly sit still for any length of time. But in 2020, following a challenging period of insomnia caused by pandemic-related anxiety and stress, I found myself integrating mindfulness into my practice.
What I discovered was transformative. Mindful meditation is not about suppressing the body’s urge to move or quieting the mind’s incessant chatter. Instead, it offers a profound lesson in acceptance and observation, free from judgment. Embracing mindfulness within my practice has allowed me to acknowledge and honor the natural ebb and flow of both body and mind, fostering a newfound sense of peace and resilience.
And, after spending countless hours meditating and studying under the guidance of Sean Fargo, a former Buddhist monk and the visionary behind Mindfulness Meditation Exercises, I recently obtained my Mindfulness Meditation Teacher certification.
Mindful Meditation serves as an empowering tool to untangle the threads of negative mental patterns accumulated over the years, allowing us to embrace a heightened sense of joy in the present moment. Contrary to popular belief, Mindful Meditation is not about suppressing thoughts but rather observing them with clarity and a relaxed focus. In the midst of our hectic lives, we often overlook the well-being of our minds, despite their indispensable role in everything we do. The incessant pressures and distractions we face can hinder us from truly experiencing the essence of life.
The practice of Mindful Meditation enables us to be fully present, fostering a state of curiosity and non-judgment. It gently unravels the layers of negative mental conditioning, paving the way for a deeper sense of joy in our daily lives. Even a mere 10 minutes of dedicated mindfulness each day has exerted a remarkable positive influence on my sleep, health, and overall well-being. And it can do the same for you.

These sessions are brief, lasting only 10-15 minutes, so you don’t need to worry about sitting still for an extended period of time.
